Opportunity for a Senior Accountant to step up into a Finance Manager role,

This is a broad, commercially focused position offering genuine variety and visibility across the business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead the finance function and work closely with operations, and warehousing.

The Role You'll oversee the day-to-day finance function while playing a key role in inventory management, reporting, cash flow and operational improvement. Working within an inventory-led business, you'll ensure financial accuracy while supporting better commercial decision-making across the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include

- Leading the end-to-end finance function, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations and general ledger management.
- Preparing monthly financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and month-end reporting.
- Managing cash flow, working capital and forecasting.
- Supporting budgeting, financial planning and variance analysis.
- Overseeing inventory accounting, including stock valuation, landed costs, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and inventory reconciliations.




- Ensuring accurate invoicing across products, freight, warehousing and fulfilment services.
- Providing commercial analysis around profitability, margins and business performance.
- Working closely with operational teams to resolve inventory and financial issues.

About You You'll be a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working in a energetic SME environment and partnering with the wider business to drive better outcomes.

You'll also bring

- At least five years' experience in a Finance Manager, Commercial Accountant or similar leadership role.
- Previous responsibility for managing an end-to-end finance function.
- Advanced experience using Xero.
- Exposure to inventory-based industries such as wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, logistics or eCommerce.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, inventory accounting, cash flow management and management accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working across multiple systems.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
