**Finance Manager, Corporate Planning and Valuation

Accounting and Finance | Corporate Finance | 6 month contract

Melbourne | Hybrid Working | $200,000 - $240,000 Total Package Plus Bonus** A large, privately structured services business is appointing a Finance Manager on a 6 month contract to lead corporate valuation, planning, and transaction support through a defined period of change. Finance sits close to executive and Board level decision making here, and this role is central to that.

The business is working through a period of operational and strategic change, with a small but capable finance team supporting decisions across valuation, funding, and long term direction. This role steps in to lead that work while the permanent structure is confirmed.

The Role

- Builds and maintains corporate financial models and valuation analyses supporting both equity and debt related decisions, including sensitivity and scenario analysis
- Prepares modelling outputs for impairment testing, periodic equity valuations, and other recurring corporate requirements
- Leads the planning and forecasting cycle for the period of the contract, running workshops with senior leaders and executives to align assumptions with strategy
- Produces management presentations, Board papers, and supporting analysis for planning and forecasting outcomes
- Supports transaction workstreams, including debt refinancing, partnerships, and other strategic activity, through financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence




- Partners with the business and its project delivery function to review investment proposals and business cases, assessing assumptions, risk, and strategic alignment
- Builds working relationships across the business to provide trusted financial input on new initiatives and projects
- Provides day to day guidance and technical support to a direct report for the duration of the engagement

Background Required

- Ten or more years in senior finance roles across corporate finance, FP&A;, corporate strategy, transaction services, or related fields
- Strong valuation background across a range of methods, ideally including fully integrated shareholder corporate valuation models
- Exposure to debt refinancing or M&A; activity highly regarded
- Track record leading long term planning, budgeting, and forecasting for a large or complex organisation
- Experience reviewing or building investment cases for capital or business initiatives
- Confident operating with senior executives and Board level stakeholders, with robust commercial judgement
- Available to start at short notice and comfortable stepping into an established team quickly
