The Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA) is a specialist project delivery organisation, responsible for delivering Victoria's major transport, health and community safety infrastructure program.

This multi-disciplinary program includes more than 200 projects including the North East Link, removing level crossings, Melbourne Airport Rail Stage 1, new and upgraded hospitals specialist programs such as the early parenting centres expansion and upgrade program and community safety projects including Corrections and Emergency Services.

The unprecedented program of works brings together expert skillsets to deliver crucial health, community safety, and major transport projects, and ensures that operations are streamlined and efficient while delivering better outcomes for Victorians. Led by the Director-General, VIDA is comprised of the five project offices, VIDA Road, VIDA Rail, VIDA Health VIDA Metro and VIDA Community Safety. VIDA is established as an Administration Office under the Public Administration Act 2004 as a specialist organisation.

About VIDA Health

VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.

The Opportunity

Play a critical role in the successful delivery of Victoria's major health infrastructure projects! As Manager, Scheduling, you will lead schedule assurance activities, oversee complex project programs, monitor critical path activities, and provide trusted advice to support informed decision-making. Working alongside project controls and delivery teams,



you will help drive project performance and proactively manage risks and delays across a diverse portfolio.

This position will initially be assigned to Delivery Stream 2 with include project such as: Alfred Hospital infrastructure upgrade; Frankston Hospital redevelopment - Stage 2 & 3; Royal Children's Hospital expansion; Thomas Embling Hospital expansion; Parkville Precinct; Royal Melbourne Hospital

Key aspects of the role include:

- Partner with project teams to identify emerging schedule risks, develop effective recovery plans, and provide authoritative advice that supports informed decision-making and successful project delivery.
- Review and evaluate contractor tender programs, providing evidence-based recommendations to support procurement and project delivery objectives.
- Undertake detailed schedule health checks of contractor delivery programs throughout construction, identifying emerging risks, delays, and commercial implications, while providing expert advice and recommendations to support timely and successful project delivery.

We are looking for:

- Strong project planning and scheduling expertise, with experience delivering integrated programs for major infrastructure projects and translating strategic objectives into achievable delivery plans.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction delivery and project controls, with the ability to identify opportunities that enhance program efficiency, reduce risk, and improve project outcomes.
- Expertise in major project scheduling, construction sequencing, and program visualisation, supported by advanced skills in Primavera P6, MS Project, Asta Powerproject, and Power BI.




- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience in major infrastructure project delivery.

The person we are looking for will:

- Look beyond what a schedule reports, challenge assumptions respectfully and ask the difficult questions.
- Turn evidence and analysis into practical advice that improves planning, project controls and delivery outcomes.
- Build trust through clear, balanced advice and constructive relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
- Approach scheduling challenges creatively, connecting scope, risk, cost and delivery to identify better solutions.
- Be comfortable exploring new approaches when established methods are not achieving the right outcome.
