Marlow Recruitment has been exclusively retained by Moriah College to manage the search for this important appointment.

Moriah College is Australia's largest Jewish day school and a leading independent, co-educational school with a proud history, strong academic standards and a deep commitment to community, identity, wellbeing and belonging. This is a highly trusted and community-facing role, suited to a mature, discreet and relational professional who can combine empathy, sound judgement, analytical capability and strong governance.

Reporting to the College Principal, this role will lead Moriah's Financial Assistance Program, supporting families through fee assistance, bursaries, scholarships and related initiatives. The role will also work closely with Enrolments, Finance, our Foundation and key committees, acting as a central point of coordination across a sensitive and key portfolio.

This is not a traditional finance role. It sits at the intersection of family support, enrolments, financial sustainability, community engagement and strategic planning.

The successful candidate will play an important role in helping ensure a Moriah education remains accessible and affordable for families, while supporting the long-term sustainability of the College.





Key responsibilities include:

- Managing the College's Financial Assistance Program, including fee support, bursaries, scholarships and other assistance initiatives
- Assessing applications and making considered recommendations regarding financial support for families
- Acting as a trusted liaison between families, Enrolments, Finance, our Foundation and relevant committees
- Managing enrolment and demographic data for current and prospective students and families
- Maintaining and updating the College's 10-year projections model to support budgeting and planning
- Preparing reports and insights for the College Principal, Board, Foundation and committees
- Supporting strong governance, confidentiality and careful stewardship of College resources

About you

You will bring strong relationship management skills, emotional intelligence and professional judgement. You will be comfortable having positive, constructive and, at times, difficult or emotive conversations with families, always balancing compassion, discretion and professionalism.

You will also bring the financial acumen, analytical capability and attention to detail required to assess information, identify trends and make informed recommendations.

You will ideally have:

- At least five years' experience in enrolments, community engagement, customer relations, family liaison, financial assistance,



education administration or a related field
- Strong financial acumen and accounting experience are essential, including the ability to assess financial information, affordability and risk
- Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups and matrix teams
- High levels of confidentiality, resilience and professional judgement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, reporting and data analysis capability
- Confidence preparing and presenting recommendations for senior leaders and committees
- An understanding of enrolment procedures within an educational setting, highly regarded
- An understanding of the Jewish community and independent school environments, highly regarded
- Understanding of credit applications and credit assessment process, having worked in or with banks/financiers, ideal
- Ability to use software and/or AI tools to improve and systemise existing processes, ideal
