Genesis Christian College is seeking a passionate and proactive Community Engagement Officer to help strengthen the lifelong connection between the College and its wider community, including parents, alumni, volunteers, sponsors, donors and community groups. This role is focused on developing meaningful engagement, building lasting relationships and encouraging ongoing support for the mission and ethos of the College.

Working within the Marketing Department and reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will play a key role implementing our community engagement strategy, deepening community relationships and helping shape experiences that connect people to the life of the College.

About the role:

- Strengthen engagement with parents and caregivers through meaningful communication, resources, events and initiatives.
- Build and sustain a vibrant alumni community through communications, stories, social content, newsletters, reunions and events.
- Grow and coordinate a committed volunteer network by supporting recruitment, recognition, communication and involvement opportunities.




- Help develop a culture of giving through fundraising initiatives, donor stewardship, appeals, campaigns, recognition and impact reporting.
- Identify, facilitate and nurture sponsorship partnerships that align with College values and support key events and programs.
- Support key College community events through promotional plans, timelines, communications, creative assets, social media, app notices and coordinated event messaging.
- Liaise with the College P&F; Association
- Grow and develop our new Genesis Connect CRM including maintaining accurate community, donor, alumni and volunteer data and contribute engaging website content for the College community within it.

This is a Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm, Term Time position based on the Genesis Christian College campus. The role involves attendance outside of normal work hours for a selection of College events which is compensated for through time-off-in-lieu (TOIL).

About you:

- Experience in marketing, community engagement and/or social media related work.
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (Marketing, Business or similar).
- Confidence using up-to-date platforms including Canva and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills,



including diplomatic verbal and written communication.
- Excellent organisation, flexibility and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing demands.
- A strong team mindset and the ability to build positive working relationships with parents, students and staff.
- Accuracy, discretion and high level of attention to detail.
- A current Working with Children Suitability Care (BlueCard) or eligibility for one.

You will have agenuine commitment to the Christian mission and ethos of Genesis Christian College

A current First Aid certificate is desirable, but not essential.
