Mechanical Fitter – Industrial Equipment & Blowers

PDA Industries is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our growing team. If you enjoy rebuilding precision rotating equipment, solving mechanical problems and working with a team that values quality workmanship and commitment to safety, we'd like to hear from you.

This is primarily a workshop-based role servicing and overhauling industrial blowers and associated rotating equipment, with occasional field service work and interstate travel after an initial training period.

About the Role

- Assessing, diagnosing and repairing industrial blowers and rotating equipment
- Disassembling, inspecting, rebuilding and testing equipment
- Servicing gear-driven and multi-bearing machinery
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, housekeeping and workshop safety
- Following safe work procedures and contributing to safety improvement
- Providing occasional on-site service and commissioning
- Working both independently and as part of a skilled technical team

About You

- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Proven experience repairing industrial blowers and/or multi-bearing, geared rotating equipment (essential)




- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Pride in producing high-quality workmanship
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
- Experience with ring blowers and compressors will be highly regarded
- A current Forklift Licence would also be advantageous

Essential Requirements

- Have a genuine commitment to workplace health and safety
- Have excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills
- Hold a current Australian driver's licence
- Have reliable transport to and from our workshop
- Be punctual, honest, reliable and possess a strong work ethic
- Be willing to learn, develop recent skills and support fellow team members
- Be legally entitled to work in Australia
