What you'll do
- Lead the business analysis team in identifying and defining business requirements for various projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements, facilitating clear communication across teams.
- Analyze current business processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business cases, process maps, and user stories, to support project delivery.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit requirements and validate solutions, ensuring that all perspectives are considered.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics,
providing regular updates to senior management and making adjustments as necessary to meet objectives.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in business analysis, applying this knowledge to enhance the team's methodologies and tools.
- Facilitate change management initiatives, helping teams adapt to new processes and technologies while minimizing disruption.
- Collaborate with project managers to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet business requirements and are ready for deployment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business analysis, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role, preferably within a technology or consulting environment.
- Strong understanding of business process modeling and improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Proficient in using business analysis tools and software, such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in leading and mentoring a team, with a focus on fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall, and the ability to adapt to different project environments.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a rapid-paced environment.
- A degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, to support data-driven decision-making.
- Knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC) and experience working closely with development teams.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions.
