About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent role in our Campbellfield welding and fabrication facility. You'll be part of the team building complete steel caravan chassis using MIG welding.

Key responsibilities

- Set up components for welding according to specifications and job cards

- MIG weld and fabricate steel parts to assemble caravan chassis

- Read, understand and follow Job Card requirements

- Verify dimensions and ensure all required parts are present

- Meet fabrication quality standards and document any product issues

- Adhere to all OHS requirements in the welding/manufacturing environment

- Test/check completed products to minimise rework or recalls

- General clean-up to maintain a safe work area

Qualifications & Experience Required





- Trade qualification in metal fabrication / welding

- Minimum 1 years' welding experience in a manufacturing environment

- Strong MIG welding skills (caravan, truck or trailer chassis experience highly regarded)

- Understanding of OHS requirements in welding and manufacturing

- Physically fit to meet manual handling requirements

- Able to take direction and follow procedures

- Able to work effectively as part of a team

Work rights

You must have full legal right to work full-time in Australia. Candidates without valid work rights will not be considered.

Benefits & Conditions

- Full time permanent role (after 3-month probation)

- Hours: 38 per week

- Mon-Thu: 7:00am-3:30pm

- Fri: 7:00am-1:00pm

- Plus reasonable overtime as required

- Salary negotiable depending on experience

- Conditions under the Manufacturing & Associated Industries & Occupations Award 2020

- PPE and welding equipment provided by the company

- Tea and lunch breaks observed; tea & coffee provided

- Annual leave taken during scheduled company closures
