The Opportunity

As a key member of the Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of the company's financial operations and supporting its continued growth. You will manage the day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, along with a broad range of finance administration activities, ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.

Key responsibilities include

- Managing the end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Processing supplier invoices, customer receipts and approved payments.
- Preparing domestic and international payment runs.
- Administering online payment platforms and reconciling electronic transactions.
- Processing supplier payments, customer refunds and employee expense reimbursements.
- Completing supplier statement, bank, payment platform and general ledger reconciliations.
- Maintaining supplier and customer account information, including banking details, payment terms and credit limits.




- Following up outstanding customer accounts in conjunction with the Sales team.
- Preparing journals, processing credit card transactions and maintaining the fixed asset register.
- Monitoring debtor performance and preparing finance reports as required.
- Assisting with month-end, year-end reporting and audit preparation.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes.
- Providing general finance administration, maintaining electronic records and monitoring shared finance inboxes.
- Performing reception duties including answering phones, welcoming visitors and coordinating office supplies when required.

About You You are an experienced Finance Officer or Accounts Officer with a minimum of three years' experience in a similar finance or bookkeeping role. You have a strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes and enjoy working in a structured environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

You possess excellent organisational skills and can effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work. Your communication skills enable you to build positive relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers, and you approach problem-solving with professionalism and sound judgement.

You are proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office, comfortable working independently and collaboratively, and understand the importance of confidentiality when handling financial information.

Prerequisite

- Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accounts Officer, Finance Officer or similar finance role.
- Sound knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Experience using accounting software such as MYOB, Xero or similar ERP systems.
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Certificate IV or higher in Accounting, Bookkeeping or a related discipline (preferred but not essential).
