Retail Zoo is the group behind some of Australia’s most recognised QSR and retail food brands, including Boost Juice, Betty’s Burgers and Salsas Fresh Mex. Operating across a multi-brand, multi-site network, Retail Zoo is a private equity-backed business focused on performance, disciplined growth and operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced Finance Operations Lead to provide strategic and functional leadership across Retail Zoo’s transactional finance operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, banking, cash operations and connected finance systems.

Reporting to the Head of Finance – Corporate, this role provides leadership and oversight across the AP/AR function, with responsibility for performance, controls and continuous improvement across all Retail Zoo entities and brands. The role will focus on embedding sustainable finance processes, strengthening financial controls and driving greater automation, integration and efficiency across the transactional finance landscape.

Key Responsibilities Drive the strategic direction of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function, providing direct leadership to the AP/AR Manager while ensuring high team performance

Set and monitor key finance operations metrics, including DPO, DSO, processing turnaround times and aged balances.

Drive continuous improvement, automation and process efficiency across billing, collections, invoice processing and payments.

Design, maintain and monitor financial controls across procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, banking and cash management processes.

Oversee cash positioning, payment runs, bank reconciliations and AP/AR inputs into cash flow forecasting.

Own finance system processes and integrations across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Concur and Lease Eagle, including enhancements, testing and issue resolution.

Lead finance operations projects, including system improvements,



process re-engineering and automation initiatives.

Manage external reporting obligations, including Payment Times Reporting and sustainability and energy data requirements.

About You

Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with CA or CPA qualifications, or progress towards qualification, preferred.

Extensive experience within finance operations, shared services or transactional finance environments.

Demonstrated experience leading Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions within a complex, multi-entity business.

Strong understanding of financial controls across procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, banking and cash management processes.

Hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a comparable ERP, ideally gained through an implementation or migration.

Experience using Concur or a comparable expense management system.

Proven experience managing finance system integrations, process improvement and automation projects.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and direct activity across finance, technology and operational teams.

Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with Power BI or similar reporting tools.

A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to balance attention to detail with broader business priorities.
