We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic individual to provide financial counselling for people experiencing financial stress. You will have experience in remote service delivery. This position may involve working independently while being supported by a strong team located across our footprint.

This position is part time, based in either Deniliquin, Broken Hill, Forbes, Bourke or Bathurst and offers a maximum term contract until 25 June 2027. If further funding is made available, an additional contract may be offered to the incumbent. An attractive remuneration package is on offer commensurate with your qualifications and experience.

Selection Criteria – Essential

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Financial Counselling position and Diploma in Financial Counselling and membership of your relevant State Financial Counselling Association.
- Demonstrated high competency in client support via remote service delivery, including tele practice (video and phone-based services).
- Robust level of communication, written and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with people experiencing vulnerability/crisis.
- High level computer skills, documentation, attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume workload.
- Strong personal values and commitment to working within the ethos of a Catholic organisation

Selection Criteria – Desirable

- Industry experience as a Financial Counsellor in regional and remote location.
