GKG Engineering is a Yatala-based design and fabrication business that specialises in servicing the waste & recycling industry. We design and fabricate quality, cost-effective materials handling equipment, specialising in conveyors and steelwork. In addition to this, we provide installation and maintenance programs and partner with our customers for unique project work.
About the Role:
As a Fitter and Turner with GKG Engineering, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling machinery in our workshop, as well as maintaining, servicing, and repairing plant and equipment off site.
The role is located at our Yatala workshop, where you will gain new skills and exposure to various projects which will challenge you and help you to grow. You will also work on our various projects which will require interstate and local travel to various sites. All travel expenses are paid for.
About You:
Your attention to detail, craftsmanship, and commitment to safety will be instrumental in the success of our operations. You will:
- Fabricate,
assemble and maintain our products and equipment
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately execute fabrication tasks
- Conduct inspections, identify equipment issues, and perform repairs and maintenance as required
- Collaborate with the engineering team to optimise equipment performance and efficiency
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment
Essential: Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Fitting & Turning
Fixed plant machinery experience
Previous experience in metal fabrication and site work
