This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced Senior Youth Access Worker at our headspace Wonthaggi centre to join RAV.

About headspace

headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing. This covers core areas including mental health, physical health, work and study support and alcohol and other drug services. Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) is the lead agency for headspace Wonthaggi, which is governed by a consortium of local community organisations who provide expertise, support and advice to RAV.

About the role

Reporting to the Centre Manager, your responsibilities include providing high-quality intake, assessment and care coordination services to young people accessing headspace Wonthaggi. This involves conducting comprehensive assessments, managing complex risk presentations, supporting a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical guidance when required, and working collaboratively with community partners to deliver holistic, evidence-based and outcomes-focused care in line with the headspace model of care and RAV policies.

About you





- Tertiary qualified mental health professional with current AHPRA registration or AASW membership, and experience providing evidence-based mental health care to young people.
- Skilled in conducting comprehensive intake, risk and mental health assessments, delivering brief therapeutic interventions, and developing collaborative care plans.
- Experienced in clinical supervision, multidisciplinary teamwork and coordinating holistic, culturally safe care for young people and their families.
- Strong communication, organisational and time management skills, with a current Victorian driver's licence, access to a vehicle, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management systems.
