Day shift from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with on-call requirements.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for patient care in the operating room. As a key member of the surgical team, you will collaborate with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Operating Room Technicians, and other personnel to ensure comprehensive patient care in accordance with state standards and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

- Ensure timely preparation and availability of surgical supplies.

- Communicate effectively with families and update physician preference cards.

- Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures.

- Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the operating room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

- Minimum of 2 years of experience with expertise in Orthopedics, Neurology, Robotics, ENT, General Surgery, and Urology.

- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

- Cerner experience is required; CNOR certification is preferred.

- Expectation to float between campuses as needed.
