GetSet is currently seeking a motivated and reliable Mature Age person to join one of our host employers in Griffith.

About the Role
As an Apprentice Welder, you’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople while completing a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll receive on the job training and gain valuable skills in a supportive workplace, learning all aspects of the trade.
Your duties will include:
- Assisting qualified welders with fabrication and welding tasks
- Learning MIG, TIG and stick welding techniques
- Reading and interpreting basic plans and drawings
- Preparing materials for fabrication and assembly
- Operating hand and power tools safely
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Attending formal training and completing apprenticeship requirements
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Looking for a long-term career and committed to completing an apprenticeship
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Eager to learn new skills and take direction
- Mechanically minded and enjoys practical, hands-on work
- Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Safety conscious with a positive attitude
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport (or working towards obtaining one)
- Genuine interest in the welding and fabrication industry
- Commitment to completing a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade
- Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual work
