Track Link Surveys is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team on a full-time or part time basis in Mount Waverley, VIC 3149. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. As a key member of our finance function, you will play an essential part in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of our organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and company policies
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling and reconciliation
- Reconciling bank statements, credit cards and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Preparing financial reports and statements for management review and analysis
- Processing payroll information and ensuring timely and accurate employee payments
- Maintaining organised filing systems for financial documents and supporting records
- Assisting with the preparation of financial data for tax compliance and audit purposes
- Communicating with vendors, clients and internal departments regarding invoicing and payment matters
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing proceduresIdentifying opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function
What we’re looking for
- Proven 5 years bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency with accounting software Reckon an advantage, and general office applications,
including Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping and the accounting cycle
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Reliable communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
- Relevant bookkeeping qualifications or certifications (such as those offered by professional bodies) are advantageous
- Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance is essential
