About the Role

As Funeral Home Manager, you will oversee the daily operation of Mount Alexander Funerals, ensuring every family receives outstanding care while leading a dedicated team and maintaining the highest professional standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing the day-to-day operations of the funeral home.
- Leading, mentoring and supporting funeral directors and support staff.
- Arranging and conducting funeral services with compassion, professionalism and attention to detail.
- Coordinating staff rosters, on-call responsibilities and after-hours operations.
- Overseeing administration, invoicing,



supplier relationships and operational processes.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships throughout the local community and with industry stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and relevant legislation.
- Driving continuous improvement across customer service, operational efficiency and team development.
- Representing Mount Alexander Funerals with professionalism, integrity and respect.

- Previous leadership or management experience, preferably within the funeral industry or another customer-focused service setting.

- The ability to lead by example while remaining hands-on when required.
- Professional presentation and excellent personal standards.
- A current unrestricted driver's licence.
- The ability to remain calm and supportive in emotionally sensitive situations.
- A commitment to workplace health and safety and continuous improvement.
