About the Opportunity

Based in Melbourne, the Production Supervisor will delegate responsibility within the production shift to production team leaders, ensuring the correct production processes are being followed for the processing of finished goods as described in the Work Instructions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Monitor the performance of individual team leaders/operators in their roles and ensure that the processing requirements are being met
- Limit the possibility of nonconformities and incorrect manufacturing by vigilantly monitoring team leader/operator performance
- Monitor the operation of the plant and alert Maintenance staff with any unusual plant related issues or occurrences
- Train production operators in various production tasks and assess competency
- Complete production reporting and associated paperwork accurately




- Plan and manage all bulk raw material deliveries and liaise with the purchasing department to ensure all other raw materials are received intime for the planned production schedule
- Manage all related production consumable items
- Ensure safe work practices by all team leaders/operators in performing production tasks.

About You

You are a reliable and organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. You take pride in accuracy and understand the importance of attention to detail in maintaining smooth operations. You communicate well and have the ability to empathize with staff, while engaging and building a great team culture.

What You Bring

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a previous supervisory position
- Cert IV Frontline Supervision, CPIM Basics of Supply Chain is desirable but not essential
- Exposure to industrial environments and the ability to safely operate plant and equipment
- Experience with stock, warehousing and the processing of raw materials
- Solid management and leadership skills
- Ability to understand the operation of machinery, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, and the basic maintenance requirements of industrial equipment
- A forklift license is compulsory for this position.
