We're building software from first principles, not modernising legacy systems.
At Kaibridge, you'll work alongside experienced founders and engineers to build an Insurance platform that reimagines how the industry operates. You'll own real outcomes, working directly with the people defining & using the product, as well as shaping the engineering practices that support it. If you're motivated by solving complex problems, learning quickly and shipping quality software, you'll feel at home here.
Interested applicants should send through their CV and a brief introduction to

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer in Sydney or Melbourne who can turn intent into shipped software and take ownership across the stack. In this role, you will work across product, platform and infrastructure to build and harden the systems behind the Kaibridge platform. This is a hands-on role where you'll be writing code, working through technical and domain ambiguity, building reusable tooling and helping ensure that what ships is tested, observable and safely reversible.
You will also work with agentic coding tools as part of the engineering environment; using them productively while applying the judgement needed to verify and improve what they produce.
What you will do
- Build and ship production-grade software across the full stack
- Develop reusable platform components, infrastructure and engineering primitives
- Own testing, observability, CI and rollback for the software you ship
- Build and support agentic workflows within the platform and engineering process
- Harden existing features while continuing to deliver new capability
- Help sequence work,
surface blockers and keep delivery moving
- Document technical decisions and maintain robust traceability
- Support and mentor less experienced engineers through your work and example
- Escalate early where security, privacy, compliance or delivery risk is unclear
What you bring
- At least three years’ experience building and shipping full-stack production software
- Strong capability in Python and TypeScript or JavaScript
- Experience working across backend, frontend and production delivery
- A production ownership mindset across testing, observability, CI and rollback
- Strong experience with agentic coding tools
- Clear communication and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical people
- A collaborative style, strong ownership and a willingness to ask questions early
- Experience with regulated industries, workflow platforms, distributed systems, Azure, Temporal, Kafka, graph data or LLM applications would be useful, but is not essential.
Our stack
- Backend: Python, FastAPI
- Frontend: Next.js, React, TypeScript
- Data: PostgreSQL, pgvector, Delta Lake
- Workflow and eventing: Temporal
- AI and agents: LiteLLM for platform and the standard agentic coding tooling
It’s an opportunity for an engineer who wants broader ownership, enjoys learning a complex domain and cares about both delivery pace and engineering quality. It’s an opportunity to learn from exceptional experience and build something great whilst growing your career.
You will need to have working rights in Australia and join our in-office team in Sydney or Melbourne. Please ensure this is the case before applying.
