About the Role

As part of our collaborative team, you'll work across a diverse client base, assisting individuals and businesses with taxation, accounting and compliance services.

Your responsibilities will include

- Face to Face Individual Income Tax Returns
- Assist in preparing income tax returns for sole traders, companies, trusts, and partnerships
- Assist in preparing financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders
- Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) under supervision
- Prepare workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Enter and process client data using accounting and tax software
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks and general ledger maintenance
- Support senior staff with client correspondence and document collection
- Assist with ASIC compliance tasks (e.g. annual statements, company detail updates)
- Undertake ongoing study and training towards CA/CPA qualification
- Perform other administrative and ad hoc duties as required

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys learning, values accuracy,



and is committed to providing excellent client service. Ideally, you'll have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field (or final year of study)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting environment (internships/vacation work considered)
- Eligible to enrol in, or currently undertaking, CA/CPA program
- Basic understanding of Australian tax and accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB) highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and a professional, client-focused attitude
- Prior experience in a public practice firm
- Familiarity with Xero and Xero tax software
