About the role

Club Ashfield is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Gaming Attendant to join our hospitality team on a casual basis.

Based in Ashfield, NSW, this role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards across our gaming operations. As a Gaming Attendant, you will help create a safe, welcoming and enjoyable workplace for our members and guests, while ensuring compliance with all gaming legislation, responsible gambling requirements and Club policies.

What you'll be doing

- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Monitor gaming areas to ensure compliance with gaming legislation, Club policies and responsible gambling requirements.
- Perform the duties of a Responsible Gambling Officer (RGO), including responding to Responsible Gambling alerts, assisting patrons where appropriate, maintaining accurate records and complying with all legislative and Club requirements.
- Assist members with gaming machine operation and resolve basic technical issues or escalate faults where required.
- Assist patrons with the Club's cashless gaming system and digital gaming technologies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the gaming floor, including gaming machines and surrounding areas.
- Verify identification where required and ensure responsible service and responsible gambling practices are followed at all times.
- Monitor the gaming floor for suspicious activity, machine faults, safety hazards or security concerns and report these promptly.
- Replenish gaming floor consumables and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Work collaboratively with Duty Managers and fellow team members to ensure smooth operations during busy trading periods.

What we're looking for





- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
- Current Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) Certificate
- Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Experience working in a hospitality, gaming, or customer service environment is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clientele
- Knowledge of gaming machines and electronic gaming operations, or the ability to quickly learn
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow complex procedures and regulations
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and move around the gaming floor
- Ability to work flexibly, must be willing to work evenings, overnight, weekends, and public holidays as required
- A commitment to responsible gaming principles and problem gambling awareness
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude towards customer service
- Basic numeracy skills for cash handling and transaction processing
