We are a leading company in the textile industry, looking for a proactive and experienced Credits & Claims Officer to join our dynamic team in a full-time onsite role based at our Office & Distribution centre in Epping, Victoria.
About the Role
You will be responsible for performing a wide range of administrative activities within a quality control and claims capacity. You will play a key role to ensure all credits and claims are dealt with in a fast, accurate and efficient manner to achieve best results for the business and customers acting as the liaison between the customer and other departments within James Dunlop Textiles.
To be successful in this role, you will be task orientated. You will demonstrate strong organisational abilities so you can efficiently manage various administrative duties and support the smooth operation of our claims and credit processes.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
- Manage credits for the Australasian market, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Provides approval/non-approval of claims.
- Act as the key liaison between customers and internal departments, resolving issues and providing exceptional service.
- Oversees the processing of credits within other departments providing required approval and documentation.
- Ensures the credit process is finalised in accordance with agreed terms.
- Work with managers to improve credits and claims outcomes
- Work with customer service and sales managers to resolve and finalise customer warranty claims.
- Work with the warehouse and procurement teams to document vendor claims.
- Monitor and report the credit summary within the first week of every month
- Provide feedback to management on credit summaries a required
- Support the Group Operations Manager with ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
You will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Proven experience with 3+ years in a similar Credit/Claims, Collections or Administration role.
- Strong process acumen with the ability to think outside the box
- Strong communication skills both oral and written with customers and internal colleagues
- High degree of professionalism and strong attention to detail
- The ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Reliability and punctuality to ensure smooth operations
- Expert customer service capabilities
- Experience in SAP or is highly regarded
- Excellent PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Enjoy a hands-on role with variety and autonomy
