Axcess Healthcare Melbourne is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our growing pharmacy team based in Mordialloc. This is a hands‑on position within our pharmacy operations, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our dispensing and packaging operations. In this role, you will contribute directly to patient safety and care by ensuring that medications are accurately prepared and packaged according to strict pharmaceutical standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be essential to our success.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and packing of medications into Dose Administration Aids (DAA) under the guidance of qualified pharmacy staff
- Ensuring accurate labelling and organisation of packed medication units according to pharmacy protocols
- Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic workspace in compliance with pharmaceutical standards
- Performing stock checks and inventory management tasks to support pharmacy operations
- Supporting the dispensary team with general administrative and operational tasks
- Following all safety procedures and pharmaceutical regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Assisting with the organisation and filing of pharmacy records and documentation
- Contributing to the overall efficiency of the pharmacy by supporting team members as required
What we're looking for

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Reliability and the ability to maintain consistency in a fast-paced pharmacy setting

- The ability to follow instructions carefully and adhere to strict pharmaceutical standards
- Prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate
