We’re looking for an experienced, motivated and forward-thinking Parts Manager to join our growing heavy diesel workshop.
This is more than just a parts role—we’re looking for someone who takes ownership, thrives on improving systems, and is always looking for smarter ways to manage inventory, streamline operations, and support a busy workshop.
If you have a background in heavy diesel, trucks, earthmoving, agricultural or industrial equipment and enjoy making things run efficiently, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
As our Parts Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping our workshop operating efficiently. You’ll manage the parts department, work closely with our technicians and suppliers, and ensure the right parts are available when needed to minimise downtime for our customers.
We’re looking for someone who brings initiative, can identify better ways of doing things, and isn’t afraid to implement new ideas that improve productivity and stock management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of parts procurement, inventory and stock control.
- Source quality parts at competitive prices while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Support the workshop by ensuring technicians have the correct parts when required.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and minimise obsolete or excess stock.
- Develop and improve inventory systems and operational processes.
- Monitor stock levels and implement effective ordering strategies.
- Assist with customer enquiries and provide exceptional service.
- Work closely with the Workshop Manager to improve workflow and efficiency.
About You
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience in a Parts Interpreter or Parts Management role within the heavy diesel, transport, earthmoving or agricultural industries.
- Robust knowledge of heavy vehicle and diesel components.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive mindset with the confidence to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience managing stock, purchasing and inventory systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
What We Offer
- Market-competitive salary based on experience.
- Opportunity to make a genuine impact on workshop operations.
- A role where your ideas and initiative are valued and encouraged.
If you’re someone who enjoys improving systems, takes pride in keeping a workshop running efficiently, and wants to be part of a hardworking team, we’d love to hear from you.
