About the opportunity
Health Infrastructure is looking for an experienced cost planning and cost management professional to join the Cost Management Advisory team.

As Program Manager, Cost Management Advisory, you will play a key role in strengthening the quality, consistency and transparency of cost planning and cost management practices across Health Infrastructure's capital program. Working across a diverse portfolio of projects, you will provide expert advice, assurance and support to project teams, helping to ensure project costs are robust, defensible and aligned with industry best practice.

You will lead initiatives that improve how Health Infrastructure develops, reviews and manages project costs, including cost planning standards, benchmarking, reporting, forecasting and assurance processes. You will work closely with Senior Project Directors, Project Directors, Cost Managers and HI’s Executive Leadership team to improve confidence in project cost estimates, cashflow forecasts and cost reporting outcomes.

The role offers a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise across an entire capital program rather than a single project. You'll help build organisational capability through the development of guidance, tools, training and creative approaches to cost management, while contributing to projects that improve healthcare outcomes for communities across NSW.

At its core, this role is about helping project teams get costs right. You'll work across the capital program to improve confidence in project cost information,

strengthen cost management practices and support consistent, high-quality outcomes for Health Infrastructure and NSW Health.

This is a fixed term full-time opportunity for three years period. Remuneration will be determined with the successful candidate.

Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed.

This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months.

About you
You are an experienced cost planning, estimating, quantity surveying or commercial professional who enjoys helping others achieve better outcomes. You combine strong technical expertise with sound judgement and a collaborative approach. You're comfortable reviewing complex cost plans, testing assumptions, analysing trends and providing practical advice that improves accuracy, consistency and confidence in project cost information.

You enjoy working across multiple projects and stakeholders and are motivated by continuous improvement. Whether you're supporting assurance reviews, developing standards and guidance, analysing benchmarking data or mentoring project teams, you're focused on lifting capability and promoting best practice.

You'll bring experience in major infrastructure, construction or capital project environments,

along with the ability to communicate complex cost information clearly and build trusted relationships with project teams, consultants and senior stakeholders. Experience with data analysis, benchmarking and digital reporting tools will be highly regarded.
