We're partnering with one of Australia's most innovative engineering companies, developing software-defined autonomous vehicles that are changing the way people and goods move around the world.
This isn't another "keep the lights on" cloud position.
You'll be designing the AWS platform that connects intelligent edge systems with cloud infrastructure, enabling fleets of autonomous vehicles to communicate securely, receive over-the-air updates, stream telemetry and operate at scale.
If solving complex engineering problems excites you more than maintaining legacy infrastructure, keep reading.
What makes this role different? You'll join a small team where cloud engineering directly impacts products being deployed into the real world.
One week you might be designing secure multi-account AWS environments.
The next you could be improving telemetry pipelines, optimising infrastructure performance or building the deployment platform that supports autonomous vehicles operating around the globe.
You'll have genuine ownership, work alongside exceptional software engineers and influence architectural decisions from day one.
You'll be working with technologies such as:
- AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, RDS, DynamoDB)
- Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation)
- CI/CD (GitHub Actions / GitLab)
- AWS Organisations & Identity Centre
- VPC, Transit Gateway, Route53 & hybrid networking
- Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, IAM & WAF
- AWS IoT Core
- Python
- Cloud telemetry & data services

AWS Professional Certification would be highly regarded.
You’ll probably enjoy this role if you:
- Like building things from scratch.
- Enjoy architecture as much as implementation.
- Want to work with talented engineers instead of endless bureaucracy.
- Get excited by emerging technologies.
- Want your work to exist outside a data centre.
Why this opportunity? Because opportunities like this don't come along very often. You’ll be joining an Australian technology company that’s already delivering globally recognised autonomous mobility solutions.
No consulting -No endless client projects - No legacy banking systems.
Just a genuinely interesting engineering challenge with real-world impact.
What’s on offer?
- Competitive salary package
- Career-defining engineering challenges
- Work with cutting-edge autonomous technology
- Highly collaborative engineering culture
- Long-term career growth
- Complimentary lunches, snacks and in office barista
- Full-time permanent position based in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs
If you’re looking for another Cloud Engineer job, this probably isn’t it.
If you’re looking for the most interesting cloud engineering role you’ll see this year, we’d love to hear from you.
