Our client is an established Australian wholesale and distribution business, partnering with Australian and international suppliers to deliver a diverse range of consumer products through an extensive B2B retail network across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting directly to the owners, this is a broad General Manager role with responsibility for leading the commercial and operational performance of the business across sales, operations, customer service and finance.

This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days will be the same. One day you might be working with the leadership team to improve business performance, the next reviewing commercial opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, identifying new routes to market or evaluating future growth initiatives. You'll lead from the front, bringing together people, processes and commercial thinking to drive the business forward.

About You

You're an experienced General Manager, Business Unit Manager or senior commercial leader with a proven track record of leading teams, owning a Profit & Loss and driving business performance.

Your experience will come from a B2B product-based business supplying retail customers, such as wholesale distribution, consumer products, FMCG, homewares, giftware, toys, stationery, health and wellbeing, pharmacy, hardware, apparel or other product-led organisations. Experience may come from either a manufacturer or distributor, provided you've developed a strong understanding of retail sales channels,



inventory management and commercial operations.

You enjoy improving businesses, developing people and identifying opportunities for growth. Commercially astute and financially confident, you're comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on leadership and know how to bring people together to achieve stronger business outcomes. Tertiary qualifications are highly preferred.
