General Production Workers - Peak Season 2026/2027
Location: Burnie, TAS
Employment Type: Casual (Peak Season)
Availability Required: September 2026 - February 2027

Programmed Skilled Workforce is currently recruiting multiple General Production Workers to support our client's busy manufacturing operations in Burnie during the upcoming peak season.
If you're reliable, motivated, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are available throughout the peak period, we'd love to hear from you.
Food manufacturing experience is highly regarded; however, it is not essential. Full training will be provided for suitable candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
About the Role
Successful applicants will work across a variety of production areas and will be required to work a rotating roster that may include Day, Afternoon and Night Shifts. Overtime may also be available during peak production periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Work individually and as part of a team on production lines
- Pack products from both automated and manual production lines
- Palletise finished products
- Batch and mix ingredients
- Complete general cleaning and housekeeping duties
- Follow quality, food safety, GMP and FMCG manufacturing procedures
- Undertake general labouring duties as required
About You
- To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be available to work throughout the peak season from September 2026 to February 2027
- Be flexible to work Day, Afternoon and Night Shifts
- Be reliable, punctual and committed to protected work practices
- Have the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Be physically fit and capable of lifting between 15-25 kg
- Be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or a production environment will be highly regarded but is not essential.
