Role Description The GM Operations – FMCG Manufacturing role is a full-time, hybrid position based at their Head Office and Main Manufacturing facility based in Melbourne. The role oversees end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and coaching operations teams, optimising processes, managing production schedules, and driving continuous improvement across the plant.

The GM Operations will collaborate closely with commercial, supply chain, and quality functions to align operational performance with business targets and customer expectations. The role also entails managing budgets, monitoring cost control, and contributing to strategic planning to support growth and profitability in a rapid-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

- Strong General Management or Senior Management experience, with proven ability to set direction, make data-informed decisions,



and lead cross-functional operations in Food or Consumer good manufacturing.
- Demonstrated Operations Management skills, including production planning, process optimization, quality, safety, and compliance in a high-volume environment.
- Customer Service orientation, with the ability to align manufacturing output with customer requirements, delivery timelines, and service-level expectations.
- Effective Team Management capabilities, including coaching, performance management, and building an engaged, collaborative culture on the factory floor and in support functions.
- Budgeting and financial management skills, with experience in cost control, resource allocation, and monitoring KPIs to improve operational profitability.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in FMCG manufacturing leadership.
- Track record in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), with the ability to implement structured improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, suppliers, and external partners.
