About The Prospect Due to consistent growth across our business, we are seeking a motivated Graduate Engineer / Workshop Planner to join our high-performing team in Wollongong. This is a pivotal role within our service department.
Berendsen Fluid
Power operates a well-equipped workshop and machine shop that overhauls and rebuilds hydraulic cylinders, pumps and motors, and is the base for a team of field service technicians providing breakdown and maintenance services to hydraulic equipment users throughout the Illawarra region. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified graduate to learn all facets of the business and forge a genuine career pathway within this growing national company.
The Role
With training, mentoring and practical work experience, you will develop the skills and knowledge to undertake activities such as: Providing technical support to customers on hydraulic product selection, application, maintenance and repair
Estimating and coordinating job workflow through to completion
Preparing and presenting quotes and estimates for repair, manufacturing and project work
Visiting customer sites to build relationships and develop business
Verifying hydraulic cylinder repair scopes, including material selection, modifications and manufacturing processes
Supporting the commercially sound operation of the workshop while meeting customer requirements
Acting as first point of contact with sales, customers,

Internal mentoring program About You To be considered for this role, you will have: A recent Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma, or relevant hands-on experience in a similar role An interest in hydraulics
Effective communication, time management and organisation skills
Sound computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
