From engineering design and 3D scanning through to fabrication, SMP installation, shutdowns and major capital projects, we provide complete turnkey solutions for our clients.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team based at our brand new modern Naval Base headquarters.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent engineering graduate looking to gain hands-on industry experience while working alongside experienced engineers, project managers and tradespeople on a diverse range of industrial projects.

About the Role

You will become involved in every stage of project delivery, gaining practical exposure to both office-based engineering and on-site execution with practical training and development to progress your skills.

Your responsibilities will include

- Assisting with mechanical engineering design and drafting activities (Autodesk Inventor)
- Producing engineering calculations and technical documentation
- Preparing material take-offs (MTOs) and procurement schedules
- Developing fabrication and installation work packs
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and client documentation
- Assisting with equipment selection and mechanical design




- Supporting project engineers with planning and execution
- Participating in site inspections and shutdown activities
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and internal project teams
- Assisting with quality documentation, ITPs and MDR compilation
- Supporting estimation and tender preparation
- Identifying engineering improvements and practical solutions
- Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and client specifications

What You'll Work On

You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of projects including:
- Structural, Mechanical & Piping (SMP) projects
- Industrial plant upgrades
- Pressure piping systems
- Mechanical equipment installations
- Rotary equipment
- Pumping systems
- Conveyor systems
- Fabrication projects
- Shutdown maintenance
- Brownfield and greenfield projects
- Engineering design and construct projects

About You

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems and has a genuine interest in heavy industry. You have to be willing to have a hands on approach To be successful you will have:

Essential

- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
- Recent graduate or up to two years' industry experience
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills




- High level of initiative and willingness to learn
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Full Australian working rights
