Graphic Designer (AO5) - Customer & Stakeholder Management
Location: Cairns or Townsville, QLD

An exciting opportunity is available for a talented Graphic Designer (AO5) to join a high-performing communications team supporting one of Queensland's largest regional infrastructure programs.
You'll play a key role in creating engaging visual content that informs, educates and connects with communities and stakeholders across North Queensland. Working across print, digital, social media and video, you'll collaborate with communications professionals, project teams and senior stakeholders to deliver high-quality creative solutions that make a real impact.

About the Role
As the Graphic Designer, you'll be responsible for delivering innovative visual communication solutions that support stakeholder engagement and community communications.
You'll work across a broad range of creative projects including:
- Designing high-quality publications, brochures, newsletters, reports and presentations
- Producing engaging social media graphics, digital advertising and online content
- Creating and editing video content for internal and external audiences
- Developing maps, displays, infographics and other visual communication materials
- Providing expert design advice to executives and internal stakeholders
- Ensuring all creative work aligns with corporate branding and Queensland Government standards
- Coordinating external suppliers including printers, photographers, videographers, illustrators and animators
- Managing multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional quality
- Supporting continuous improvement of design processes and collaborating with design teams across the department
About You
You'll be a creative thinker with excellent design skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging visual communications.
You'll bring
- Strong experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
- Experience producing professional creative content across print, digital and video platforms
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of accessibility principles, including WCAG and creating accessible PDFs and Microsoft Word documents
- Exceptional layout, typography and visual storytelling skills
- Experience working within corporate brand guidelines
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Outstanding organisation, attention to detail and time management
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Experience
Highly regarded
- Five or more years' experience in graphic design, visual communication or creative design
- Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related discipline
- Experience working within a large corporate or government environment
- Knowledge of Queensland Government communication standards, policies and processes
