G-Tech Communication Services Pty Ltd trading as ZCG Scalar – Lindenow VIC

ZCG Scalar is seeking an experienced and driven R&D; Supervisor to lead the delivery of innovative RF communication and antenna development projects across the consumer, commercial and defence sectors.

This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines technical expertise with project management. You will supervise the Research & Development team while acting as the primary project lead for multiple concurrent development programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards.

Working closely with Engineering, Production, Sales and Executive Management, you will transform customer requirements into commercially successful products while maintaining a robust focus on quality, innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Research & Development team.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of product development projects from concept through to production.
- Act as the project lead for time‑sensitive consumer, commercial and defence programs.
- Develop project schedules, allocate resources and monitor progress against milestones.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, procurement and sales.
- Identify and manage technical and project risks to ensure successful outcomes.
- Ensure products meet customer requirements, applicable standards and quality expectations.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation and design verification activities.
- Liaise directly with customers, suppliers and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within product development processes.
- Mentor and develop R&D; personnel,



fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team culture.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation and progress updates for management.

About You

You are an organised and technically capable leader who thrives in a fast‑paced development environment. You enjoy solving complex engineering challenges while keeping projects moving and teams aligned.

You will ideally possess:

- Previous experience leading engineering or R&D; teams.
- Demonstrated project management experience delivering multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience within electronics, RF communications, telecommunications, defence, manufacturing or a related engineering field.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision‑making skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications or a related discipline (preferred).
