We are looking for a Junior Engineer to join the QLD team, who is interested in civil and residential projects, with a minimum of 1-year Australian industry experience.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, the role splits their time between office and onsite tasks, assisting the senior engineer with project tasks. Key responsibilities will include:

Preparing technical reports, logs and basic design specifications

Visiting sites to inspect work quality, monitor safety compliance and gather data

Assisting with compiling project documentation

Effectively communicating with clients, project staff and key stakeholders

Ensuring company quality, environmental, health and safety processes are adhered to

Ensuring tasks are planned and prioritised, to meet budgets and deadlines

Assisting with the onboarding of new wage staff.

About You

This role would suit a junior engineer looking for an chance to work in a role where they can be exposed to civil and residential projects, building on their skills and knowledge. Key qualifications and skills required include:





Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or a related field.

1-year of Australian industry experience in civil infrastructure projects, with exposure to bridge construction, maintenance, or remediation an advantage.

Sound understanding of engineering practices.

Ability to proactively manage tasks and priorities to ensure planned budgets and timeframes are met.

Ability to work as part of a team and coordinate job schedules.

Sound knowledge of relevant legal requirements, including health and safety.

Sound communication skills, with the ability to work with people at varying levels.

Sound organisational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Demonstrated understanding of computer packages related to the field of Civil Engineering, including the Microsoft Suite (Office, Project) and finance software.
