Putzmeister Oceania builds and supports the concrete pumping equipment that keeps major construction and mining projects moving across Australia. We are looking for a hands‑on Product Quality Technician to join our Production team in Altona and help make sure every machine that leaves the workshop is safe, reliable and ready for our customers.
Working alongside our fitters, auto electrician and service team, you will test and commission newly built concrete pumps, fault‑find issues, and complete the final checks and documentation before handover. This role suits an experienced plant, diesel or mechanical fitter who enjoys practical problem‑solving, quality work and a steady weekday roster in a clean, organised workshop.
In this role you will:
- Test and commission newly built concrete pumps before they go to customers.
- Check mechanical, hydraulic and control systems for performance, safety and quality issues.
- Work with the Production team to resolve faults and complete final adjustments.
- Complete test reports and handover documentation so machines are ready for delivery.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a trade background in plant, diesel or mechanical fitting (or similar), ideally with heavy equipment experience.
- Brings strong fault‑finding skills across mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Takes pride in quality work and a protected, tidy workshop.
- Works well with production and service teams and communicates clearly on issues and progress.
