Workfast is seeking an experienced Weighbridge Operator for a quarry facility in Brooklyn, Vic.

What you need

- Minimum 2 years experience in an admin role
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience on a weighbridge, or similar
- Mining, civil construction or quarry experience, advantageous
- Excellent Verbal, listening and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Customer facing experience preferred
- Safety conscious

What you will be doing

The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for ensuring the effective and effective operation of the weighbridge. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Administrative duties such as answering incoming calls, monitoring the general email inbox, greeting and authorising visitors to site and assisting with customer enquiries
- Providing quotes and processing sales, liaising with the Account Manager as required
- Coordinating transport into and out of the site
- Liaising with drivers and directing them to the appropriate area of the site




- Advising loader operators of product loading requirements
- Operating the radio to communicate with other quarry workers
- Processing outgoing and incoming vehiclesAccurately recording truck tare weights and managing this according to State and Federal legislation
- Producing driver dockets
- Effectively managing communication, documentation and all administration for the weighbridge
- Producing reports as required
