This is a casual position within the Physiotherapist Department. You will be responsible for providing clinical and non-clinical support to ensure the smooth running of the Physiotherapy Department, primarily on weekends.
Internally, this position will also be known and/or referred to as: Allied Health Assistant (Grade 2) - Physiotherapy, Allied Health Assistant - Casual.
Classification for this position is in accordance with Award 04 - Health and Allied Services.
The position is graded at IN29 (Allied Health Assistant (Grade 2)) from $65,042.12 per annum, plus superannuation.
What you’ll achieve:
- Assist physiotherapists in providing assessment and treatment sessions
- Arrange physiotherapy equipment to facilitate patient discharge
- Assist with clinical administrative tasks to support efficient patinet workfow within the hospital system
Your skills and experience:
- Hold an Allied Health Assistant qualification
- Completion of a minimum of 80 hours of clinical practice experience
- Previous experience working with patients in hopsital and healthcare environments
- Experience working or interacting with children and adolescents

Other requirements:
- Current National Criminal Record check, or willing to obtain
- Valid Working wiht Children Check, or willing to obtain
- Compliance with RCHs "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedure
