What you'll do
- Develop and execute the enterprise sales strategy for the Australian market, including account prioritization and resource allocation.
- Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of Enterprise Account Executives to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Maintain accountability for the full enterprise sales funnel, including pipeline quality, forecast accuracy, and revenue targets.
- Establish rigorous operational rhythms for deal inspection, account planning, and performance management.
- Guide the team through intricate, multi-stakeholder negotiations involving legal, procurement, technical, and executive decision-makers.
- Act as a technical authority for the Square ecosystem, demonstrating the value of our platform, APIs, and AI-driven workflows to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Product, Solutions Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to align on customer outcomes and product feedback.
- Build and maintain relationships with C-level stakeholders to secure long-term partnerships.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise or strategic sales with a history of closing high-value, complex deals.
- 3+ years of experience in people leadership, specifically in coaching and developing sales teams.
- Background in fintech, SaaS, payments, commerce, data, or AI environments.
- Demonstrated ability to create territory and coverage strategies in high-growth markets.
- Proficiency in managing multi-threaded sales cycles involving technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Robust analytical skills for pipeline management, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience with business case development, pricing, and contract negotiation.
- A builder mindset with the ability to create scalable sales playbooks.
