About the role

Olive Grove Delicatessen is seeking a Cafe All Rounder to join our team.

As a Cafe All Rounder, you will be the backbone of our cafe operations, providing excellent customer service whilst supporting all aspects of our day-to-day activities.

Whether you’re taking orders, preparing food, managing the till, or ensuring our space is clean and inviting, your contribution will be essential to delivering a memorable experience for our guests.

What you’ll be doing

- Greeting customers warmly and taking food and beverage orders in a friendly and efficient manner

- Preparing and serving food and drinks to a high standard, ensuring all items meet our quality expectations

- Operating the till accurately and processing payments securely

- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the cafe, including tables, counters and kitchen areas

- Restocking supplies and ensuring inventory is well-managed

- Supporting the preparation of food items as directed by the kitchen team

- Responding promptly to customer requests and resolving any concerns professionally

- Working collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods

- Following all health and safety regulations and food handling procedures

What we’re looking for

- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting

- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with diverse customers

- A flexible and reliable approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities





- Competence in handling cash and operating a till or point-of-sale system

- Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards

- The ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during peak service times

- A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues

Current Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain one

Initially this is a casual position Monday to Friday from 8.30-3.30

You’ll be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering quality service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

We provide on-the-job training and support to help you succeed in the role, and opportunities to develop your skills across different areas of cafe & Deli operations.
