About CPP
CPP is a leading high‑voltage infrastructure provider that connects renewable energy projects to Australia’s electricity grid. Since 1996, we have delivered more wind farms and renewable batteries than any other company, with a workforce of over 800 employees and offices in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth.
Operations
Our Operations team safely delivers high‑voltage infrastructure projects across Australia, from early construction planning through to site execution, commissioning support and handover. The WA pipeline is growing rapidly, and this role will help establish local site delivery capability and support major renewable energy infrastructure projects.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the site delivery of 330 kV substation works for a major renewable energy project in WA. This senior appointment is the first Site Manager hire for our WA team and offers strong visibility, influence and future progression. Initially based in Perth, the role will transition to the site (approximately two hours north of Perth) by January 2027, with roster arrangements confirmed in line with project requirements.
Reporting to the General Manager of WA Operations, the Site Manager will manage day‑to‑day site activities, provide leadership to site teams and subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. Duties include site meetings, progress reporting, project documentation, workforce coordination, QA compliance, safety leadership, and close collaboration with project managers, engineers, suppliers and client representatives.
About you
- Experienced Site Manager with strong HV substation construction and grid‑connection experience, ideally within EPC and renewable energy environments.
- Strong safety leadership, with the ability to identify and control critical risks, manage site compliance and maintain high quality standards.
- Proven ability to lead frontline teams, subcontractors and suppliers while keeping project managers and stakeholders well informed.
- Electrical trade qualifications.
This role suits a hands‑on site leader who can contribute from the early planning stage, build a strong site culture, and confidently transition into delivery once works commence. You will bring a practical approach, strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with project leadership while keeping safety, quality, cost and schedule front of mind.
