Penrith Christian School is seeking an inspiring Head of HSIE to lead our faculty into its next season of growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator and strategic leader to shape learning across the Humanities and Languages (German), fostering excellence in teaching, learning, and curriculum design within a Christ-centred educational community. The role will involve leading teachers to implement our Great Learning, Well People framework, embedding a high-quality, dispositional approach to learning.

In This

Role, You Will Lead and inspire a collaborative Years 7–12 HSIE faculty committed to excellence in learning and teaching

Foster a culture of high expectations, professional growth, innovation, and continuous improvement

Build strong relationships with staff, students, parents, and colleagues through clear, professional, and effective communication

Mentor and support teachers to develop their pedagogical practice and maximise student outcomes

Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality curriculum and assessment programs aligned with NSW syllabus requirements

Promote engaging and meaningful learning experiences that develop students’ curiosity, critical thinking, and understanding of the world





Demonstrate exceptional organisation and attention to detail in managing faculty operations, administration, and compliance requirements

Use data and evidence to inform decision-making and drive ongoing improvement across the faculty, including the use of HSC data

Lead change with wisdom, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement

Integrate a Biblical worldview into faculty leadership, curriculum design, and classroom practice About You With the ability to drive and facilitate a deep love of learning in students, your Christian faith will be evident in your ability to integrate an authentic Biblical worldview into student learning experiences and our community. Along with NESA accreditation and a current Working with Children Check number, you will be able to demonstrate the following: A personal teaching philosophy and a strong commitment to Christian education A commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, and student growth

Strong leadership, collaboration, and relationship-building skills A thorough understanding of relevant NSW syllabuses and assessment practices The ability to foster innovative, engaging, and effective learning experiences

Excellent communication, organisational, and ICT skills A commitment to professional growth, child safety,



and policy compliance A willingness to contribute to the broader pastoral and co-curricular life of the school

Current teaching qualifications and the right to work in Australia Highly Desirable Experience and/or qualifications in educational leadership

Experience in teaching across multiple Stage 6 HSIE courses
