St Joseph's Nudgee College is one of Australia's leading Catholic boarding and day schools for boys. We are seeking experienced educators to join the O'Brien House team in two rewarding leadership opportunities, commencing Monday 18 January 2027.

As Head of Year 7 or Head of Year 8, you'll play a key role in supporting boarders' wellbeing, personal growth and sense of belonging within a vibrant boarding community where every young man is known, valued and encouraged to thrive.

The opportunity

We are seeking applications for the following positions:

- Head of Year 7 Boarding, O'Brien House

- Head of Year 8 Boarding, O'Brien House

Working closely with the Director of Boarding and the Head of O'Brien House, you will provide outstanding pastoral leadership, build strong relationships with students and families, and help create a safe, supportive and inclusive boarding environment where every young man can thrive.

Head of Year 7

Guide students as they transition into boarding life, helping them build confidence, independence and a strong sense of belonging.

Support students as they continue to grow in confidence and independence while preparing for the transition into senior boarding.

About you To be successful in either role, you will:

- Be a qualified and registered teacher.

- Demonstrate a genuine commitment to student wellbeing and pastoral care.

- Build positive and respectful relationships with students, families and colleagues.

- Possess excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.

- Be committed to the values and mission of St Joseph's Nudgee College.

Position details

- Commencement: Monday 18 January 2027

- Appointment: Three-year leadership appointment with the chance for a further three-year term, subject to review.
