This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced litigator to broaden or specialise their practice across medical negligence, health law and professional regulation while working within a close-knit and collaborative team recognised for technical excellence.
The role
You'll advise and represent healthcare professionals, insurers and medical defence organisations across a broad range of matters including:
- Medical negligence litigation
- Coronial investigations and inquests
- Professional disciplinary investigations and proceedings
- Personal injury litigation
- Regulatory and health law advice
- Risk management and strategic claims advice
Working directly with two experienced Principals, you'll take ownership of matters from an early stage while receiving ongoing mentoring and support on sophisticated and often high-profile matters.
About you
You'll ideally have
- 4+ years' PAE
- Experience in civil litigation, defendant insurance, personal injury or commercial litigation
- Strong drafting and analytical skills
- Experience managing matters with increasing autonomy
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- An interest in health law, medical negligence or regulatory work
Plaintiff and defendant lawyers with strong litigation experience and an interest in transitioning into Health Law are encouraged to apply.
