Café Manager with Entrepreneurial Mindset – Growth Opportunity

Bark & Brew is a unique café located within VetLand, a busy 24/7 veterinary hospital in Mitcham. We have created a welcoming café space where pet owners, veterinary clients, our team, and the local community can enjoy great coffee, food, and connection.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial person to help take Bark & Brew into its next phase of growth.

This is not a traditional café management role. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in the business and on the business - someone who can make exceptional coffee, deliver outstanding hospitality, but also enjoys building systems, analysing opportunities, improving processes, and helping grow a unique café concept.

The Opportunity

Bark & Brew is in its early stages, with strong foundations established and significant potential for growth.

We are looking for someone who can help shape the future direction of the café - improving the customer experience, increasing revenue, creating efficient systems, and building a strong local following.

This role offers the opportunity to have genuine influence, autonomy, and input into how the business develops.

For the right person, there may be a potential pathway to business partnership or ownership as the café grows.

About You

You may be:

- An experienced café manager ready for your next challenge
- A skilled barista with a passion for business and growth




- A hospitality professional who has always wanted to build something of your own

You will ideally:

- Have excellent coffee-making skills and hospitality experience
- Be confident managing day-to-day café operations
- Be highly organised, proactive, and self‑motivated
- Enjoy using technology and data to improve performance
- Be comfortable learning and using systems such as Square POS, HubSpot CRM, rostering, inventory management, and digital marketing tools
- Enjoy problem‑solving and finding better ways to do things
- Think like an owner rather than simply an employee

Your Role Will Include

- Managing café operations and maintaining high hospitality standards
- Making quality coffee and supporting the café team
- Developing systems and processes
- Reviewing sales data and identifying growth opportunities
- Improving customer engagement and loyalty
- Supporting marketing initiatives
- Building relationships with clients, staff, and the local community
