AURUM CAPITAL TAX & ADVISORY PTY LTD is seeking a Junior/Intermediate Accountant to join our growing team in Caroline Springs, VIC. We are seeking an organised, proactive, and friendly Fulltime Intermediate Accountant to join our closely knit, professional team.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Accountant with 2 years’ Australian tax and public practice experience to join our team. While approximately 2 years of Australian tax and public practice experience is preferred, it is not essential. This hands on role offers variety, regular client contact, and the opportunity to build your skills in a supportive team environment.

It is a Full-time, onsite position with hours from 9:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs
- Preparation of BAS, IAS, and other compliance obligations
- Assisting with tax planning and advisory work
- Liaising directly with clients regarding accounting and taxation matters
- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
- Working closely with directors and senior accountants to meet client and lodgment deadlines

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a genuine interest in taxation and accounting,



strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years' accounting and taxation experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business or Commerce
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting standards
- Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word & Excel
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Handi Soft, MYOB , Xero, Now infinity , Fuse Sign
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, priorities conflicting deadlines, and work efficiently
