About the Position: The Accountant (General) plays a vital role in supporting the financial integrity and strategic growth of Hilal Meat Products Company Pty Ltd. Reporting to senior management, this position is responsible for managing core financial operations, delivering accurate reporting and analysis, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing insightful financial guidance to support informed business decisions in a energetic meat processing and export environment.

Key Responsibilities: Preparing and analysing financial statements including balance sheets,



income statements and cash flow statements to provide a comprehensive view of the company’s financial performance. Developing budgets and financial forecasts to assist with business planning and effective financial management.

Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations through the preparation and filing of tax returns, management of tax payments and handling of audits. Conducting internal and external audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and maintain regulatory compliance. Maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger management, bank statement reconciliations and recording of financial transactions.

Analysing financial data to identify trends, assess performance and deliver insights to management for strategic decision-making. Requirements: Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.

At least a bachelor or master degree or higher qualification in accounting (or at least five years of relevant experience) A minimum of one year’s experience as an accountant. Strong technical skills in financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, auditing, record-keeping and financial analysis, with proficiency in relevant accounting software.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
