Job Description

LOTT TRANSPORT PTY LTD The Delivery Driver will be responsible for the secure, timely, and efficient collection, transportation, and delivery of goods while ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with road transport legislation and company procedures. The successful candidate will carry out vehicle inspections, manage delivery documentation, secure loads appropriately, and maintain high standards of safety and professionalism during all delivery operations.

Task & responsibilities

- Operate delivery vehicles safely to collect and deliver goods to customers in accordance with scheduled delivery routes.
- Load, unload, and secure goods to prevent damage during transportation.
- Conduct pre-start, daily, and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Plan delivery routes to maximise efficiency while meeting delivery timeframes.
- Complete delivery documentation, proof of delivery records, manifests, and transport paperwork accurately.
- Verify delivery items against invoices, delivery schedules, and customer orders.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch personnel, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules and operational updates.
- Ensure compliance with road transport legislation, workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements,



and company policies.
- Handle customer enquiries professionally and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure company equipment is properly cared for.
- Assist with warehouse loading and unloading activities where required.
- Report incidents, accidents, damaged goods, or delivery discrepancies promptly.
- Represent the company professionally during all customer interactions.

Qualification & experience

- Valid Australian Driver Licence appropriate for the delivery vehicle being operated.
- Minimum 1 -3 years of relevant full-time experience as a Delivery Driver, Courier Driver, or in a similar transport and logistics role.
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate light commercial vehicles and deliver goods efficiently.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to load, unload, and safely secure goods during transport.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work a minimum of 38 ordinary hours per week, with reasonable additional hours as required by operational needs.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety and accurate record keeping.

Work Type: Full time Salary: $75000-95000
