About the Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laser Cutter Operator to join our Production team.
As the Laser Cutter Operator, you'll play the important role of operating our Laser Cutter Machine to manufacture quality steel components used throughout our fabrication process. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help ensure production runs safely, efficiently and on schedule. An immediate start is available for a suitable candidate following a successful interview process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and maintaining Laser Cutter Machine
- Read and interpret shop drawings, job specifications and work instructions.
- Load raw materials and unload completed components using approved handling equipment, safe manual handling techniques and company procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Supporting the wider production team as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Experience operating manufacturing machinery (Laser cutting experience highly regarded)
- Ability to read shop drawings, work instructions and technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Good Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Forklift licence is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- A reliable work ethic and positive attitude
- Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to assist across different areas when required
