RCPA isseeking an energetic person who can support our Melton afternoon shift team within a Production Supervisor role and develop RCPA into the future and beyond.
To be considered for this position, you must have the following skills, experience and competencies:
- Minimum two years’ experience in precast concrete (preferred) or manufacturing.
- Be a team player with a helpful and positive attitude.
- Able to work well under pressure and prioritise workload to meet business requirements.
- Able to lead a team by setting goals and ensuring the employees are meeting their goals.
- Monitoring team performance.
- Provide continuous improvement and development of processes and employees.
- Work in an efficient and safe manner.
- Ability to identify problems, and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
- Have good time management skills.
- Able to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
- Attention to detail with good computer skills or the ability to learn.
- Able to work autonomously and use initiative to organise your workload to ensure deadlines are met.
Key duties include, but are not limited to
- Ensure completion of daily targets
- Work with the Production Manager and or supervisors to prepare routine production schedule to meet customer and business demands.
- Challenge the process and optimise the running of the machines and assist with optimising plant and equipment while still producing a quality product safely.
- Assist with the establishment of manufacturing targets and setting of KPI’s within the manufacturing facility.
- Assist with facility improvement projects and processes where you see fit.
- Maintain and or assist with the revision when required for all work procedures, instructions, train, and develop team members on any new initiatives and ensure that information on the correct procedure is given.
- Work with the maintenance team and/or contractors to assist in the management of issues on the machines if required.
- Assist with the development of training plans and inform Production Manager of possible gaps in competency.
