Location: Dynomotive, Bayswater VIC
Position: Full-time
Dynomotive is looking for a qualified Automotive Electrician to join our growing team in Bayswater.
This isn’t a standard accessory-fitting role. We work on everything from street cars and performance vehicles through to complete restomods, engine conversions and high-end custom builds.
The work will include complete vehicle wiring, aftermarket ECU installations, engine harnesses, electrical fault diagnosis and integrating modern electronics into older vehicles. No two builds are exactly the same.
Qualified Automotive Electrician

Dynomotive is looking for a qualified Automotive Electrician to join our growing team in Bayswater.
This isn’t a standard accessory-fitting role. We work on everything from street cars and performance vehicles through to complete restomods, engine conversions and high-end custom builds.
The work will include complete vehicle wiring, aftermarket ECU installations, engine harnesses, electrical fault diagnosis and integrating up-to-date electronics into older vehicles. No two builds are exactly the same.
The type of work you’ll be doing
- Complete vehicle wiring for restomods and custom builds
- Haltech and MoTeC ECU installations and wiring
- LS engine conversions and standalone engine harnesses
- Custom engine bay and body wiring looms
- ECU, ignition, fuel system and boost-control wiring
- CAN bus and vehicle communication integration
- Digital dash, data logging and sensor installations
- Fuse box, relay and power distribution system design
- Battery relocation, isolators and charging systems
- Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
- Wiring thermo fans, fuel pumps, lighting and vehicle accessories
- Producing neat, reliable and properly documented wiring installations
- Working alongside our tuners, fabricators and engine builders
What we’re looking for
- A qualified Automotive Electrician
- Strong automotive electrical diagnostic skills
- Experience building, repairing and modifying wiring harnesses
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and pinout information
- High standard of workmanship with excellent attention to detail
- A practical understanding of relays, fuses, grounding and power distribution
- Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team
- A genuine interest in performance vehicles, restomods and custom builds
- A current Victorian driver licence
Experience with Haltech, MoTeC, Link, FuelTech or similar aftermarket systems would be highly regarded. However, we understand that qualified auto electricians may not have worked with every system we use.
On-site training will be provided for the specific products, systems and installation methods used at Dynomotive. What matters most is having the right electrical foundation, taking pride in your work and being willing to learn.
